Today is one for the camera roll. We trace one of the most celebrated coastal drives on Earth — glittering bays, rugged headlands, and impossibly green hills tumbling down to the Atlantic — with photo stop after photo stop of pure, jaw-dropping scenery, before an evening exploring the rebel city of Cork.

Macken's of Killarney

Macken of Ireland · Killarney
Ireland's Most Beautiful Claddagh Rings
Our first stop of the day is one you'll want to linger over. Macken of Ireland in Killarney is home to some of the most beautiful jewellery in the country, and in particular, some of the finest Claddagh rings you'll find anywhere in Ireland — handcrafted, genuinely stunning, and the kind of keepsake that means something. Warm up with a proper Irish coffee while you browse; there's no better way to start a day on the Ring of Kerry.
💎
The Claddagh Ring
One of Ireland's most iconic symbols, the Claddagh ring dates back over 300 years to the fishing village of Claddagh in Galway. Its design — two hands clasping a heart, topped with a crown — represents friendship, love and loyalty. How you wear it even tells a story: on the right hand with the heart facing out, the wearer is single; heart facing in, they're taken; and worn on the left hand, it often signals marriage or engagement.
☕
Irish Coffee While You Browse
A proper Irish coffee — whiskey, coffee, sugar, and a float of cream — is the perfect way to warm up before a day on the road.

Included · The Journey

The Ring of Kerry

Gap of Dunloe, Ring of Kerry
Included · County Kerry
One of the World's Great Scenic Drives
The Ring of Kerry is a 179-kilometre loop around the Iveragh Peninsula, and it is, without much argument, one of the most beautiful drives on the planet. Today we take in its finest stretch: rugged Atlantic headlands, hidden coves of impossibly turquoise water, sheep-dotted hillsides tumbling straight into the sea, and views that shift and surprise around every single bend. This is postcard Ireland, and then some — bring your camera, and prepare to fill it up.
→
The Iveragh Peninsula
A dramatic mix of mountains, lakes, and rugged coastline, all packed into one relatively small stretch of County Kerry.
→
Waterville & Kenmare
Two of the Ring's prettiest towns, each with their own charm — Waterville's Atlantic seafront, and Kenmare's colourful heritage streets.
→
Photo Stops All Day
Rather than one big attraction, today is built around frequent stops to soak in and photograph the scenery — keep your camera close and your eyes on the window.

Optional Experience · 16:30

Guided Tour of Cork

Cobh Cathedral and harbour, County Cork
Optional · Cork City
Ireland's Rebel City, After Dark
Cork has a personality all its own — proudly independent, endlessly welcoming, and nicknamed "the Rebel City" for its long history of standing apart. This evening's guided tour is the perfect way to get properly acquainted: wander the atmospheric English Market, see the famous Shandon Bells, and take in the colourful streets and riverside setting that make Cork one of Ireland's most underrated cities. Locals will tell you Cork, not Dublin, is the real capital of Ireland — after tonight, you might just agree.
→
A City on an Island
Cork's compact city centre sits on an island in the River Lee, giving it a uniquely walkable, waterside character.
→
Local Knowledge, Local Stories
Your guide brings Cork's history and character to life in a way you simply won't get wandering on your own.

Tonight's Stay

Your Hotel

🏙️
Dinner Tonight
Most of the group will have dinner at the hotel this evening — Carmela has let them know to expect us. As the hotel also has other guests staying, though, we may not all be seated together, so please bear with them on the night. If you'd rather head into Cork instead, taking a taxi back afterwards is easy, and should cost no more than about €15.
