The Most Magical Half-Hour of the Tour
There is truly nowhere else like it. Built in the 15th century and carved almost floor-to-ceiling with an extraordinary, mysterious array of biblical scenes, foliage, and symbols that scholars are still puzzling over, Rosslyn Chapel is one of the most atmospheric small buildings in the world — made globally famous by The Da Vinci Code, but genuinely centuries older and stranger than any novel. Every surface seems to have a secret.
→
The Apprentice Pillar
The chapel's most famous carving, wrapped in a legend of jealousy and murder involving a master mason and his gifted apprentice — ask your guide to tell you the whole story.
→
A Warden's Talk
A short talk from the chapel warden usually runs around 11:00, unpacking some of the carvings' strangest mysteries. Well worth catching if the timing lines up.

Your entry is included in the tour and self-guided — take as much time as you like wandering the Crown Jewels, the tiny St Margaret's Chapel (the oldest building in the city), the Great Hall, and the panoramic views over the whole of Edinburgh.

Torphichen — Trust Us

Kenny at Torphichen, Scotland
Optional · Torphichen, West Lothian
Honestly? One of the Best Nights in the Entire Tour
Of everything on offer across the whole of Britain and Ireland, Torphichen is genuinely one of the very best evenings we have — anywhere. This isn't a polished, generic "Scottish night." It's a proper dinner and show hosted by the one and only Kenny — piper, storyteller, showman, and quite possibly the funniest man in West Lothian — who has a way of turning a room of strangers into old friends within about ten minutes. Expect belly laughs, a whisky that gives Johnnie Walker a genuine run for its money, and haggis that we will happily argue is the best in Scotland — and therefore, by simple logic, the best in the entire world.
→
Kenny
Piper, host, and full-blown showman. Kenny doesn't just run the evening — he makes it. Guests routinely say it's their favourite memory of the whole trip.
→
Dinner & a Dram
A proper Scottish dinner, the self-proclaimed best haggis in the country, and a whisky pour that's second to none — Johnnie Walker included.
→
